Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static) – Greenfield

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static) will lead the engineering, design review and technical management of static equipment for ADNOC offshore greenfield projects. The position is based in Abu Dhabi and supports all phases from FEED through commissioning, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities for static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, separators, columns, towers, storage tanks and filters.
• Prepare and review design basis, specifications, datasheets and technical requisitions.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, fabrication drawings, calculations and inspection requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors, evaluate technical bids, and support procurement in equipment selection.
• Interface with process, piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation, corrosion and HSE disciplines.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, design and constructability reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 180 months (15 years) of experience in mechanical engineering for offshore static equipment.
• Proven experience with ADNOC engineering standards and international codes (ASME, API, TEMA, NACE).
• Ability to manage multi‑disciplinary coordination and vendor relationships.
