Senior Mechanical Engineer – Static Greenfield

About the role

This senior position leads the design, development and implementation of static mechanical equipment for a high‑profile client in the oil and gas sector. The role ensures equipment functionality, safety and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for all mechanical static equipment design and ensure compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards.
• Coordinate and monitor static equipment design with EPC contractors, delivering within project timelines.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables from consultants and contractors, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
• Participate in equipment sizing, selection, layout, model and design reviews, and technical workshops.
• Support installation, pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases and report to ADNOC discipline team leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions and solve complex technical problems.

Required skills

• Mechanical static equipment design.
• Knowledge of international codes and standards, including ADNOC specifications.
• Proficiency with engineering computer programs and general business software.
