Senior Mechanical Engineer – Static & Rotating (6‑month contract)

About the role

Enerflex Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and engineering of static and rotating equipment on a 6‑month fixed‑term basis. You will ensure all deliverables meet international, organisational and client standards while maintaining safety, quality and schedule commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review design basis, material specifications and mechanical datasheets for vessels, columns, heat exchangers and tanks.
• Develop detailed design calculations in accordance with ASME VIII Division 1/2 and other applicable codes.
• Perform hydrostatic, transportation, lifting and external support calculations for pressure equipment.
• Generate user design specifications, material requisitions and material take‑offs (MTO) for fabrication.
• Liaise with clients, authorized inspectors and vendors to obtain drawing and calculation approvals.
• Coordinate vendor and third‑party engineering deliverables and ensure compliance with internal audit procedures.
• Forecast man‑hour requirements and monitor on‑time, on‑budget performance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level mechanical engineer with proven experience in static and rotating equipment design.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Divisions 1 and 2).
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and guide junior engineers.
• Excellent communication with clients, inspectors and internal stakeholders.
