Senior Mechanical Static Engineer

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Static Engineer will work independently on complex on‑shore oil & gas projects, applying advanced engineering theories and standards. The role involves leading technical proposals, supporting business development and ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and security requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review equipment specifications, datasheets and design calculations for static equipment such as pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers and air‑fin coolers.
• Lead technical proposal development, cost estimating, and presentation to customers, and support business development activities.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary reviews, HAZID/HAZOP workshops and ensure design compliance with ASME VIII and other international codes.
• Mentor junior team members, manage resource loading, and support performance reviews and training.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in concept, FEED and detailed design of static equipment for on‑shore oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, PWHT, NDE, material selection, nozzle design, fire‑proofing, insulation and seismic loading.
• Proven ability to manage procurement, vendor coordination and equipment certification processes.

Required skills

• Static equipment design and selection (tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, air‑fin coolers).
• ASME VIII code compliance, PWHT, NDE requirements.
• Metallurgy specifications and mechanical datasheet development.
• Project execution, interdisciplinary coordination and HAZID/HAZOP participation.
