Senior NDT Inspector – Fluorescent Penetrant Testing

About the role

EDGE Group is seeking an experienced Senior Inspector – NDT Level II specialized in Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (FPI/PT) to conduct non‑destructive inspections on aerospace components, assemblies and welds. The role supports production quality, audit readiness and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Fluorescent Penetrant Testing and Magnetic Particle Inspection (including Yoke technique) according to procedures, drawings and standards.
• Carry out daily system performance checks, interpret results and decide acceptance or rejection based on codes and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot NDT equipment, report defects and manage calibration.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports, test records and non‑conformance documentation.
• Support audits (Nadcap, customer, certification) and coordinate corrective actions with operations and chemical process teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years hands‑on NDT inspection experience in aerospace industry.
• Basic knowledge of special‑process chemicals, painting and assembly inspection.

Required skills

• Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (400 hours OJT preferred).
• Magnetic Particle Inspection and Liquid Penetrant Inspection for non‑aero components.
• Valid NDT Level 2 certification in PT & MT (SNT‑TC‑1A) and Fluorescent Penetrant (NAS410/EN4179).
• Understanding of audit criteria such as Nadcap, OEM, AS/EN9100 & IMS.
