Senior .NET Developer – Real‑Time Trading

About the role

Edison Smart is partnering with a leading fintech innovator to hire a Senior .NET Developer for their real‑time trading technology team. You will design and deliver high‑performance, low‑latency solutions that process large streams of financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise .NET Core microservices with a focus on scalability, performance and maintainability.
• Build high‑concurrency systems using multi‑threading, asynchronous programming and modern design patterns.
• Implement event‑driven architectures with Kafka, AWS SQS or RabbitMQ.
• Ensure solutions are fault‑tolerant, low‑latency and capable of handling real‑time data streams.
• Contribute to architectural decisions such as Clean Architecture, Vertical Slice Architecture and CQRS.
• Write testable code using TDD and perform thorough code reviews.
• Enhance observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana and Kibana.
• Collaborate within an Agile squad to deliver secure, production‑ready software.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience with .NET Core/C# and distributed microservice development.
• Strong expertise in concurrency, multi‑threading and asynchronous programming.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of monitoring, metrics and distributed tracing.
• Experience with event‑driven systems and messaging tools (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ).
• Nice to have experience in low‑latency trading, saga patterns, SQL Server optimisation and relevant cloud/architecture certifications.
