About the role
Tether is looking for a Senior Node.js Software Engineer to work on its P2P stack and expand its ecosystem, which includes more than 1,500 public npm modules and a robust, modular codebase. The position is fully remote and open worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the P2P stack
- Expand the ecosystem of reusable npm modules
- Work within a globally distributed, remote team
Required profile
- Proven experience in Node.js development with production-scale applications
- Strong ability to write modular, maintainable code
- Experience creating and managing reusable npm modules
- Solid testing and debugging skills
- Deep interest in or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems
- Comfort working remotely with good communication skills
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with native Node.js extensions (C/C++) or binding JavaScript to lower-level code
- Demonstrated ability to optimize network protocols or systems (latency, throughput)
- Familiarity with advanced networking concepts
- Past contributions to open-source projects, especially in P2P or decentralized technology
