Senior Non-Contentious Construction Associate / Counsel

About the role

The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Counsel to lead non‑contentious construction matters across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East. You will manage high‑value mandates, develop client relationships and contribute to the growth of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate complex construction contracts, including EPC, EPCM, design‑and‑build and bespoke arrangements.
• Advise on FIDIC contracts, amendments, risk allocation and contractual negotiations.
• Lead major construction and infrastructure transactions from structuring and procurement through to execution.
• Provide guidance on project delivery models, procurement strategies and contractual risk management.
• Negotiate related agreements such as consultancy appointments, sub‑contracts, guarantees and collateral warranties.
• Manage contractual claims, variations and dispute avoidance, supervising junior lawyers and acting as primary client contact.

Required profile

• Senior Associate or Counsel with strong non‑contentious construction experience.
• Background in a leading international or reputable regional law firm.
• Proven track record leading significant construction matters and advising clients directly.
• Commercial mindset with interest in business development and client relationship management.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex construction documentation.
