Senior Officer Contracts – Civil Engineer

About the role

The Senior Officer Contracts – Civil Engineer will lead the full contract lifecycle for civil and construction projects at AL TAIF. This role ensures that contractual, legal and technical requirements are aligned with project objectives and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review Scope of Work (SOW) specifications with requesters and end users for accuracy.
• Prepare and issue tender documents (ITT, RFP, RFQ) and evaluate bids based on technical and financial criteria.
• Draft final contractual instruments such as Purchase Orders, Blanket Purchase Agreements and Service Maintenance Agreements.
• Administer contracts during vendor execution, including delivery follow‑up, signature coordination, and handling non‑conformances.
• Negotiate prices, timelines, payment schedules and other contractual terms.
• Identify, assess and mitigate contract‑related risks, including potential delays and legal issues.
• Manage change orders, monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
• Oversee contract closure, confirming all deliverables and obligations are fulfilled.
• Support contract audits, inspections and prepare performance reports for management.

Required profile

• Background in civil engineering or related construction discipline.
• Experience in managing contracts for civil or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of legal, regulatory and company standards throughout the contract lifecycle.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 standards.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 standards.
