Senior Officer, Finance (AP/AR & Banking)

About the role

This finance position covers accounts payable and receivable, banking operations, month-end closing and compliance. It suits someone with hands-on experience in AP/AR and banking who can work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and receivable, including VAT invoice processing, payment preparation, collections and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and process bank payments, maintain banking records and perform bank reconciliations; handle in-person banking such as cheque deposits, document submissions and account maintenance.
• Support month-end closing, journal entries and the preparation of financial reports.
• Ensure finance transactions are properly documented and compliant with internal controls, company policies and accounting procedures.
• Assist with audit requirements and support ad hoc finance and administrative matters as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience, preferably in the F&B or retail industry.
• Hands-on experience in AP/AR and banking operations.
• Extensive knowledge of VAT and corporate tax filing for Mainland and DIFC entities in the UAE.
• Fluent English; Chinese or Arabic is a plus but not compulsory.
• More experienced candidates may be considered for the Assistant Manager level.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Able to work independently, well organized and responsible.
