Senior OT/ICS Cybersecurity Specialist – Oil & Gas

About the role

The company is looking for a senior specialist to protect operational technology (OT) and industrial control system (ICS) environments within oil and gas facilities. The role combines hands‑on security engineering, risk assessment and project leadership across distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers and related industrial networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support OT/ICS cybersecurity projects, including design, hardening and securing of DCS, PLC, HMI, engineering workstations, servers and OT networks.
• Perform vulnerability, threat and risk assessments for OT assets and recommend mitigation measures.
• Support cybersecurity activities during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning and on‑site implementation.
• Analyse OT network traffic, troubleshoot industrial communication protocols and coordinate with multiple OEM platforms and vendors.
• Ensure all solutions comply with relevant OT/IT cybersecurity standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• 15+ years of information security experience, with at least 10 years focused on OT/ICS security in the oil & gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of DCS, PLC and HMI systems, operating systems, network architecture, firewalls, routers, switches and Active Directory.
• Proven experience with major OEMs such as Honeywell, GE, ABB, Yokogawa, Schneider Electric, Emerson and Siemens.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Platforms: DCS, PLC, HMI, engineering workstations, servers.
• Security tools and concepts: firewalls, routers, switches, Active Directory, system hardening, OT vulnerability assessment, network traffic analysis.
• Standards: NESA IAS, ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443, NIST.
