Senior Pipeline Engineer

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Pipeline Engineer to join its Sharjah office. The role is full‑time and office‑based, focusing on the design, analysis and delivery of overhead and underground pipeline projects for the oil and gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in specific phases of large engineering assignments.
• Direct preparation of project documentation and ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.
• Check engineering calculations and drawings, and mentor less senior technical staff.
• Lead design reviews, site visits, project review meetings and workshops.
• Develop innovative technical solutions and modify existing guidelines where necessary.
• Contribute to audits, incident investigations and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 120 months (10 years) of relevant engineering experience.
• Proven ability to work within budgeted time and cost constraints.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the capacity to develop new engineering approaches.
• Excellent judgment in interpreting experimental results and customer needs.
