Senior Planning Engineer - High-Rise Construction

About the role

Careers International is looking for an experienced Planning Engineer in Dubai, focused on high-rise residential, commercial and mixed-use building projects in the UAE. The role covers project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, resource coordination, delay analysis and reporting so that projects finish on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed baseline schedules in Primavera P6, including master schedules, look-ahead schedules, recovery plans and target programs
• Monitor progress against approved schedules and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports
• Identify critical activities and project risks, and track performance, productivity and manpower utilization
• Conduct delay analysis and recommend corrective actions; coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants and subcontractors
• Participate in progress review meetings with clients and consultants, and prepare dashboards, S-curves, histograms and KPI reports
• Assist in claims preparation and extension of time (EOT) documentation
• Coordinate with QA/QC, procurement, MEP and execution teams
• Understand construction sequencing for excavation and shoring, raft foundations, concrete frames, structural works, MEP, façade and finishing, and ensure compliance with UAE construction standards

Required profile

• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in construction planning
• Mandatory experience in high-rise building projects in the UAE
• Main contractor experience preferred
• Preferred: residential towers, commercial high-rises, mixed-use developments, luxury tower and villa projects, and multi-storey construction

Required skills

• Strong command of Primavera P6, MS Project and AutoCAD
• Project controls, earned value management (EVM), resource loading, cost monitoring and delay analysis
• Advanced Excel and reporting
