About the role
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated Senior Power Supply & Traction Power Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. The role focuses on design, development and commissioning of railway power systems, ensuring compliance with engineering guidelines and project constraints.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 5‑10 years of engineering and commissioning expertise for power supply and traction systems.
- Identify and resolve contact line interfaces with subsystems such as signalling, CW and trackwork.
- Guarantee delivery of systems in compliance with quality standards, timing and cost constraints.
- Plan and coordinate test activities on site, perform tests, issue reports and manage non‑compliances.
- Support knowledge sharing and capitalization of best practices for contact line systems.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience with design, development, and commissioning processes for railway power systems.
- Knowledge of railway environment risks, rules and commissioning standards.
- Clear criminal background check.
