Senior Principal Piping Engineer

About the role

The Senior Principal Piping Engineer will lead the design and execution of complex piping systems for large‑scale projects. This senior specialist role requires innovative thinking to develop reliable, cost‑effective solutions that align with project specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform conceptual, FEED and detailed piping analyses and designs in accordance with design basis, project specifications, codes and standards.
• Develop creative, reliable and cost‑effective engineering solutions for challenging problems.
• Lead large multidisciplinary engineering teams on unique and complex projects, managing scope, schedule, budget and resource allocation.
• Coordinate discipline execution, ensure clear interfaces and deliverables, and act as the discipline representative in project meetings with clients, authorities and third‑party auditors.
• Mentor and train junior engineers, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain commercial insight, understand construction/fabrication yard requirements and collaborate with other engineering departments.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in piping engineering, preferably in oil & gas or large‑scale industrial projects.
• Proven ability to lead and manage large engineering teams and complex projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical ideas and influence outcomes.
