Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to lead end‑to‑end category strategies for raw materials, indirect services and subcontractors in our Dubai plant. The role will drive cost‑effective sourcing, optimise the procure‑to‑pay cycle and act as a trusted advisor to Finance, Operations and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies, analysing Total Cost of Ownership and long‑term value.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and redesign the P2P cycle for greater agility.
• Build and maintain dynamic dashboards using advanced Google Sheets or Power BI.
• Pioneer Generative AI tools for market intelligence, contract analysis and automated reporting.
• Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from stakeholder requirements to vendor performance.
• Navigate UAE market volatility, handling supplier rate‑change requests and logistics disruptions to protect contribution margins.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on “Function vs. Cost” analysis and implement “Should‑Cost” modelling during negotiations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or strategic role in the UAE.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering; CIPS Level 4/5 or CPSM certification preferred.
• High emotional intelligence, strong negotiation abilities and proven influence with C‑suite stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset that creates systems rather than follows existing manuals.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, data modelling).
• Power BI and Google Sheets for dashboard creation.
• Strong familiarity with ERP systems.
• Interest or experience in AI‑driven analytics and process automation.
