Senior Procurement/Purchase Officer – EPC & Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement & Purchase Officer to lead the full procurement cycle for EPC and construction projects. The role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services needed for project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement and purchasing activities for EPC and construction projects.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver cost savings and meet project timelines.
• Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Request and analyse competitive quotations, prepare commercial comparisons, and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and related documentation.
• Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Estimation, Stores, and Finance departments.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality, and compliance.
• Maintain an approved supplier database and manage vendor relationships.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and alternative sources of materials and services.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, project specifications, and approved budgets.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of procurement and purchasing experience.
• Mandatory experience in EPC and construction projects; experience in oil & gas, MEP, industrial, infrastructure, or engineering projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction‑related materials, equipment, and services.
• Proven ability in supplier sourcing, vendor evaluation, quotation analysis, commercial negotiations, and procurement planning.
• Solid understanding of the Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) process.
• Experience with ERP and procurement management systems.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and coordination skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
