Senior Product Design Engineer

About the role

The partner company seeks a Senior Product Design Engineer to own core product experiences end‑to‑end, turning ideas and prototypes into production‑ready, accessible components. The role sits at the intersection of product design, frontend engineering, design systems, and interaction design, working in a remote‑first, async environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own product surfaces from concept through production, including booking flows, scheduling primitives, and team/enterprise experiences.
• Translate product problems into high‑quality designs, prototypes, and production‑ready frontend components.
• Build and test prototypes using AI‑assisted tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and v0.
• Deliver reusable, accessible components that engineers can use directly, ensuring correct semantics, interaction states, and motion.
• Maintain and evolve a shared open‑source component library, auditing existing primitives and contributing reusable solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a product designer who has evolved into design engineering, owning complex product areas from definition to launch.
• Strong frontend engineering skills with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and React.
• Ability to independently turn concepts into polished, production‑ready implementations.
• Deep expertise in headless primitive composition (Base UI, Radix) and design systems.
• High‑trust, high‑autonomy mindset thriving in a remote, async environment.
