Senior Project/Programme Manager (Fixed Term)

About the role

Nedbank Private Wealth, a private bank and wealth manager based in the Isle of Man with branches in London, Jersey and a representative office in the UAE, is looking for an experienced Project/Programme Manager to join its Change Team on a long-term fixed-term contract. The role leads and manages strategic and transformational projects according to the NPWI project methodology, with a focus on project management and some business and system analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Own project delivery and be accountable to senior executives; define scope, roadmap and milestones, and prepare progress reports.
• Break down projects into components, develop user stories in line with agile principles, and adapt project methodologies to different project types.
• Manage external suppliers, vendors and partners, and drive awareness of blockers and delays among senior management.
• Lead project meetings, workshops and retrospectives, organise agile sprints, mentor junior project managers and champion change.
• Support the Sponsor in defining scope, schedule, metrics and priorities, help manage customer expectations and implement project governance and controls.
• Demonstrate the quality and functionality of deliverables for approval and sign-off, and champion process improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
• Proven track record of delivering software, IT and business projects, including data, system migration and upgrade projects.
• Experience in banking, investment and general ledger platforms, and participation in digital transformation programmes in banking and investment.
• Experience in a Business Analysis or Systems Analysis role, and leading multi-function project teams.
• Able to present project progress to Board level and communicate clearly with customers.
