Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the role

Softana is looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join its cross‑functional team in Ras Al Khaimah. You will drive quality across modern tech stacks using TypeScript and Playwright, shaping testing strategies for complex web and mobile platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain end‑to‑end automated tests in TypeScript, stored alongside application code.
• Collaborate with developers throughout the feature lifecycle, from design to defect resolution.
• Define test strategies at feature and system levels and continuously improve the automation framework.
• Make decisions on mocks, stubs or real integrations to meet testing goals.
• Ensure automated tests are reliable, maintainable and CI/CD‑ready, and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of test automation experience in product or platform teams.
• Strong hands‑on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and modern E2E frameworks such as Playwright.
• Proven ability to work closely with Backend, Frontend and DevOps engineers.
• Solid understanding of testing principles, the test pyramid, shift‑left and contract testing.
• Excellent communication skills and English proficiency at an intermediate level or higher.
