Senior Quality Assurance Specialist – Pharmacist in Charge

About the role

The Senior Specialist, Quality Assurance will act as the Pharmacist in Charge for the newly established Middle East & Africa Regional Distribution Center in the United Arab Emirates. The role ensures that all storage, transportation, handling and distribution activities comply with Good Distribution Practices (GDP), local regulations and the company’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with GDP and UAE regulatory requirements for inbound and outbound transportation, storage and product handling.
• Monitor and enforce compliance of third‑party logistics providers with GDP and the Quality Agreement, taking corrective action when gaps are identified.
• Communicate with the UAE Health Authority, service providers, subcontractors, target market representatives and Marketing Authorization Holders.
• Manage audits, inspections, recalls and external communications related to quality.
• Write, approve and review procedures that impact GDP.
• Conduct self‑inspections, investigate deviations and manage CAPA, change control, risk assessments and temperature excursions.
• Oversee facility, equipment and system validation and ensure results meet requirements.
• Maintain the Document Management System and apply Quality Risk Management principles.
• Handle market complaints in line with the Manufacturing Division complaint process.

Required profile

• University degree in Pharmacy.
• Licensed Pharmacist in the United Arab Emirates (MOHAP, DHA or DoH Abu Dhabi).
• Eligibility to serve as the designated Pharmacist in Charge under UAE regulations.
• Experience in pharmaceutical wholesale and quality assurance, preferably.
