Senior Quality Engineer – Architectural

About the role

The International Engineering Center is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to lead QA/QC activities for architectural works on major mixed‑use projects in Ras Al Khaimah. You will ensure that all architectural finishes and constructions meet the highest quality standards and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures, Project Quality Plans, ITPs, checklists and quality records for architectural works.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, material approvals and project requirements.
• Review architectural shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and technical submissions.
• Inspect architectural and finishing works such as blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, flooring, ceilings, doors, joinery, painting, cladding and façade.
• Raise, monitor and close NCRs, ensuring root‑cause analysis, corrective actions and prevention of recurring issues.
• Monitor WIRs/IRs, material inspections, snagging/de‑snagging and handover activities.
• Coordinate architectural works with structural, MEP and other disciplines to resolve quality‑related interface issues.
• Maintain QA/QC reports, inspection records and quality documentation; support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of total experience, with at least 5–7 years in QA/QC for architectural and finishing works.
• Proven experience on major building or mixed‑use projects in the UAE or GCC, preferably from a consultant‑side supervision background.
• Strong knowledge of UAE requirements, international standards and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced project environment and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
