Senior Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its infrastructure team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role uses analytical expertise and knowledge of construction economics to manage costs, ensure contractual compliance and provide transparent financial oversight on complex infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cost analysis, estimation and budgeting for infrastructure projects
• Prepare and manage bills of quantities, specifications and tender documentation
• Review survey data, measurement records and project information to verify accuracy and completeness
• Manage contract administration, including variations, claims and change orders
• Operate quantity surveying software and land-information platforms for data storage, analysis and reporting
• Research legal records, contractual terms and industry standards to identify compliance issues and risks
• Produce reports, plots, maps and financial statements on project status and costs
• Collaborate with project teams, engineers, architects and clients to recommend cost management actions
• Monitor expenditures against budgets, identify variances and implement corrective measures
• Mentor junior team members and assess and mitigate financial and contractual risks

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professional certification as a Quantity Surveyor (QS) or equivalent qualification recognised in the UAE
• Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience in quantity surveying, with at least 3-5 years in a senior capacity
• Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, budget management and financial analysis
