Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC ME) is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Contracts Team in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on managing complex commercial aspects of large‑scale infrastructure projects for a leading main contractor in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and close complex upstream (client) and downstream (subcontractor) final accounts.
• Review, evaluate, and negotiate Variation Orders (VOs), Extension of Time (EOT) claims, contra‑charges, and other commercial claims.
• Prepare contractual notices, claim submissions, substantiation, and supporting documentation.
• Manage payments, valuations, cost control, forecasting, and final accounts.
• Handle subcontract administration, subcontractor claims, payments, and final accounts.
• Responsible for cost control, budget monitoring, forecasting, interim payments, and commercial reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying/Contract and Commercial Management.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contract administration and claims management.
• Experience on UAE/GCC main contractor infrastructure projects.
• Professional chartered status (e.g., MRICS, MAIQS) highly preferred.
