Senior Radiographer – General Radiology

About the role

The Senior Radiographer will independently perform general radiography procedures, ensure high‑quality imaging, and support the radiology department’s operational excellence. This role involves supervising junior staff, managing equipment and supplies, and collaborating closely with radiologists.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all general radiography and MRI procedures in line with department policies.
• Evaluate images for quality, appropriateness and completeness before forwarding to radiologists.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring compliance with rules and protocols.
• Maintain inventory of radiology supplies and equipment; report shortages and approve replenishments.
• Manage safe and competent use of radiology equipment, patient aids and appliances.
• Monitor and develop quality‑improvement indicators to uphold patient‑care standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years postgraduate experience in a multimodality acute‑care setting, including at least 2 years as a senior radiographer (UAE nationals: minimum 2 years).
• Bachelor’s degree in Radiography, Radiology Technology or Medical/Diagnostic Imaging (or equivalent diploma/associate degree).
• Current national radiographer license and registration/certification.
• Post‑qualification experience of at least 2 years in general radiology.
