Senior RBI Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Engineer to lead offshore asset integrity management. You will develop, implement, and maintain RBI programs, assess equipment risks, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain RBI assessments for offshore facilities following API 580 and API 581.
• Conduct qualitative, semi‑quantitative, and quantitative RBI studies for pressure vessels, piping, heat exchangers, tanks, and related equipment.
• Establish optimized inspection strategies and intervals based on risk profiles and update them with new inspection data.
• Perform integrity assessments, create inspection plans, corrosion control programs, and fitness‑for‑service evaluations.
• Review inspection reports, NDT results, corrosion monitoring data, and remaining life calculations.
• Identify damage mechanisms and support turnaround inspection planning and execution.
• Evaluate corrosion threats, recommend mitigation measures, and advise on material upgrades.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in RBI program management for offshore assets.
• Strong knowledge of API 580 and API 581 methodologies.
• Proficiency in asset integrity, inspection planning, and corrosion engineering.
• Ability to collaborate with inspection, corrosion, operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
