Senior Relationship Manager – Energy

About the role

The Senior Relationship Manager – Energy will professionally manage and grow Institutional Banking relationships within the energy sector, working closely with the Head of Energy to drive business development and portfolio performance.

Key responsibilities

• Structure appropriate credit lines in line with underwriting standards and risk targets after detailed analysis.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the energy portfolio, including syndications, project financing, bridge financing, reserves‑based lending, equity bridge loans, RCF, EPC contracts financing, and offshore vessel financing.
• Maintain and grow an assigned client portfolio, achieving multi‑product, cross‑sell, and ancillary business targets.
• Support the Head of Energy with daily activities such as credit proposals, client visits, and transaction execution.
• Conduct account planning, ensure timely credit administration, and comply with internal audit and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 12–15 years of experience in Institutional Banking with a focus on the energy sector.
• Strong commercial acumen, ability to prepare strategic plans, and experience with Oil & Gas, Renewables, Water, or Power clients in the GCC.
• Proven track record in developing client relationships at decision‑making levels.
• Mentoring ability to guide junior team members.
