Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Technology Innovation Institute is launching a dedicated startup to industrialise a secure, AI‑enabled, multi‑source decision‑support platform. The solution fuses data from geospatial layers, imagery, video and other operational signals, and requires robust backend services to power data‑intensive analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services for data ingestion, processing and analytics.
• Architect APIs and services that enable analytical workflows and decision‑support applications.
• Build and maintain data pipelines handling large, heterogeneous datasets.
• Ensure system reliability, performance and security across development, test and production environments.
• Collaborate with scientists, GIS specialists and data engineers to translate analytical requirements into production‑ready systems.
• Lead code reviews, define engineering standards and mentor junior engineers.
• Support deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting of production systems.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and architectural decisions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a fast‑paced product environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
