Senior Software Engineer, New Verticals

About the role

qlub is building AI‑driven payment services for salons and beauty businesses. As a Senior Software Engineer you will own the end‑to‑end loop of turning business problems into precise specifications, orchestrating AI agents that build, test and ship solutions, and verifying outcomes through automated evaluation and observability.

Key responsibilities

• Direct AI agents to design, build and operate secure payment services such as checkout, booking deposits, tips, refunds and settlement.
• Specify integrations with salon management, booking platforms, payment providers and other third‑party systems, delivered through AI agents.
• Write specs, acceptance criteria, test suites and evaluation metrics that define “done” for agent output.
• Design and run the agentic development workflow, deciding which agents do what, how they are prompted, and how their work is merged and deployed.
• Implement permissions, human approvals, guardrails, observability, audit trails and fallbacks for any agent that can touch money or client data.

Required profile

• Experience shipping production‑grade software in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment.
• Comfort with making strong decisions with incomplete information and taking full ownership of features.
• Passion for solving hard problems in payments, beauty and wellness client experiences.
• Evidence‑driven mindset: you trust testing, measurement and observability over manual code review.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with LLM APIs, tool calling, retrieval‑augmented generation and agentic workflows in production.
• Strong system design knowledge: REST APIs, microservices, asynchronous processing and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of databases, data modelling and database design.
• Familiarity with payment providers, booking or POS systems and complex third‑party integrations.
• Knowledge of AI‑system risks (hallucinations, prompt injection, data leakage) and mitigation strategies.
• Experience with automated testing, evaluation suites, observability, debugging and performance optimisation.
