Senior Specialist - AITC

About the role

Alef Group, which invests in communities through joint ventures, is looking for a Senior Specialist - AITC in Sharjah. The role plans, manages and maintains the company's IT infrastructure and support services across offices and project sites, overseeing servers, networks, storage, cloud, security, backup and disaster recovery. It leads infrastructure service delivery, capacity planning, upgrades and vendor management, while business application work stays with application owners.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head of IT with the infrastructure roadmap, capacity assessment, budgeting and refresh cycles
• Manage servers, virtualization, storage, cloud, LAN/WAN, wireless, firewalls, identity services and end-user devices, including monitoring, incidents and changes
• Run ITIL-aligned ITSM practices (incident, change, release, service requests), service catalogues, SLAs and the CMDB
• Oversee backup, restoration tests and disaster recovery against recovery objectives
• Implement infrastructure security, vulnerability assessments, patching and ISO/IEC 27001 controls
• Support AI governance and infrastructure controls for AI services
• Manage vendors, negotiate contracts and lead deployments, migrations and upgrades
• Lead and develop infrastructure engineers and support staff, and report on availability, incidents, costs and projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
• 7-10 years of IT infrastructure and operations experience, with 3-5 years in a supervisory role
• Experience with multi-site networks, on-premises and cloud infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery
• Experience with ITSM, asset and configuration records and ISO/IEC 27001 controls; real estate, property or facilities management experience is highly desirable

Required skills

• Server OS, virtualization, storage, LAN/WAN, wireless, firewalls, identity services and endpoint management
• Cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS), monitoring, backup and disaster recovery, security hardening and patching
• ITIL-aligned ITSM, service desk tools and CMDB
• Preferred: ITIL Foundation, ISO/IEC 27001 and cloud infrastructure or networking certifications
