Senior Specialist, Economic Analysis

About the role

The Senior Specialist, Economic Analysis provides expert economic evaluation for ADNOC Upstream’s investment decisions, capital projects, and business development activities. You will ensure robust assessments for oil and gas concessions, mergers and acquisitions, and farm‑in/farm‑out transactions, supporting the optimisation of the project portfolio and capital efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct economic evaluations of upstream investment opportunities, including concessions, capital projects, M&A, and farm‑in/farm‑out deals.
• Develop, review, and maintain detailed economic models, financial forecasts, and sensitivity analyses.
• Support the Upstream Investment Strategy with data‑driven insights for senior management.
• Prepare business cases and presentation materials for Investment Program Committee and Investment Committee.
• Collaborate with group companies to ensure consistent evaluation methodologies and reporting standards.
• Assess fiscal regimes and concession agreements, providing economic input to protect ADNOC and government interests.
• Perform portfolio analysis and investment performance reviews to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Monitor macro‑economic, industry, and market trends and integrate findings into investment recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in economic analysis, financial modelling, or investment appraisal within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong understanding of upstream investment processes, fiscal regimes, and market dynamics.
• Proven ability to communicate complex economic concepts to senior stakeholders.
