Senior Specialist – Geotechnical Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Specialist in Geotechnical Engineering to join AD Ports Group in Abu Dhabi. The role will focus on delivering safe, sustainable and cost‑effective geotechnical solutions that support the Group’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide geotechnical engineering solutions that are safe, sustainable, cost‑effective and innovative, aligned with the Group’s governance and strategic goals.
• Analyse geotechnical data and prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop technical requirements, construction and performance specifications, design standards and other technical documents for ports and maritime projects.
• Create initial pre‑conceptual engineering schemes for potential future projects.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with project teams, supply chain partners and other stakeholders to enhance project outcomes.
• Identify emerging trends in geotechnical engineering and propose improvements to existing specifications, standards, methods and solutions.
• Lead the continuous improvement of departmental standards and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Proven ability to work on ports and maritime engineering studies.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
