Senior Specialist – Platform Reliability & Application Support

About the role

Inception42, a G42 company, is looking for a senior specialist to improve the production reliability of its AI platforms, products and applications for internal users and external customers. The role combines application support experience with engineering to detect problems early, restore service effectively and prevent recurrence.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end understanding of assigned services, including user journeys, data flows and third‑party dependencies.
• Implement service level indicators, build logs, metrics, traces, dashboards and alerts for rapid failure detection.
• Diagnose production issues across code, APIs, queues, databases, containers and underlying services.
• Write automation, diagnostic tooling and reliability improvements; respond to incidents and coordinate recovery.
• Collaborate with customers, internal users and engineering to improve deployment readiness, health checks and recovery mechanisms.

Required profile

• Strong production application support or reliability engineering experience with complex incidents.
• Ability to read and debug code in Python, Java, C#, Go or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with observability, distributed tracing, alerting and service health measures.
• Working knowledge of Linux, containers, cloud services, APIs, databases and networking.
• Excellent communication and independent problem‑solving skills.
