Senior Specialist – Project Risk Management

About the role

The Senior Specialist Project Risk Management leads ADNOC Group’s risk management discipline for its strategic capital projects, ensuring that new and existing risks are identified, assessed and mitigated to support successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Project Risk Management discipline across all Group Companies, providing direction and advice on risk integration.
• Develop and maintain standards, guidelines, procedures and the technical framework for risk management as the Group Technical Authority (Level 1).
• Oversee the implementation of the Technical Authority Framework and appoint Technical Authorities in each Group Company.
• Build and sustain a knowledge community and Community of Practice for risk management across the Group.
• Assess top project risks for the ADNOC Capital Programme and report to senior leadership and the ERM function.
• Drive continuous oversight of the risk management framework, fostering a risk‑aware culture and reviewing risk action plans.
• Manage departmental budgets, resources and performance, including talent development and Emiratization targets.
• Lead the selection, implementation and continuous improvement of risk management software tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; advanced degree in Project Risk Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas project and risk management at project, business‑unit and corporate levels.
• Recognised professional certifications such as PMI‑RMP® and/or PMP®.
• Proven expertise in developing and applying risk management standards and frameworks.
