Senior Storage Advisory Expert

About the role

UL Solutions is looking for a Senior Storage Advisory Expert to lead high‑impact renewables projects and transactions across EMEA. The role is client‑facing, transaction‑focused and offers strong exposure to developers, investors and lenders in the energy storage and hybrid renewable space.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex technical due‑diligence projects for energy storage, solar‑plus‑storage and hybrid renewable portfolios.
• Review and interpret contracts (EPC, BSA, PPA, O&M, LTSA) to identify technical and commercial risks.
• Analyse and validate financial models, assessing CAPEX, OPEX, warranties, degradation and performance assumptions.
• Prepare comprehensive TDD reports summarising findings, conclusions and recommendations.
• Engage with clients, lenders and developers, presenting results and addressing comments.
• Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and client engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in energy storage, preferably in a technical advisory, developer or lender environment.
• Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects and conducting contract and financial model reviews for energy infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of project finance, risk assessment and bankability considerations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to interact with senior stakeholders.
