Senior Structural Designer

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Structural Designer to lead our structural engineering team in Dubai. The ideal candidate comes from a design consultancy background with proven experience in designing educational facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of RCC and steel buildings from concept through detailed design and construction support.
• Perform structural analysis and modeling using ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000, including dynamic seismic and wind analysis.
• Prepare and review design calculations, reports, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with ACI, BS and local regulations.
• Coordinate with architectural and MEP teams, review shop drawings, and provide technical support during authority submissions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, reviewing their design work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 10–15 years of experience in structural design consultancy, preferably on large‑scale projects.
• Strong expertise in complex building structures, especially schools.
• Ability to work independently and lead design packages.

Required skills

• ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000
• Revit (BIM modeling and coordination)
• Design of RCC and steel structures
• Knowledge of ACI, BS, ASCE 7 and seismic design principles
• Dynamic analysis (response spectrum, time‑history)
