- Review sensor selection, placement and configuration, and assess data from strain gauges, accelerometers, inclinometers, load cells and temperature sensors.
- Analyze structural response under static, dynamic, thermal and operational loads, and evaluate vibration characteristics, modal analysis results and time-history data.
- Identify abnormal behaviour, fatigue effects and anomalies; support baseline performance profiles and threshold-based alert systems.
- Evaluate data quality, calibration and signal noise, and review data acquisition systems, telemetry and monitoring dashboards.
- Apply statistical analysis and signal processing, support predictive monitoring models, and compare finite element analysis results with measured behaviour.
- Prepare assessment reports, monitoring summaries, technical recommendations and risk evaluations, and coordinate with field inspection teams and contractors.
- Support asset management plans, recommend sensor upgrades and maintenance priorities, and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering; Master's or PhD in a related field is an advantage.
- Significant professional experience in structural health monitoring, structural assessment or infrastructure asset management.
- Experience reviewing sensor data, finite element models, inspection findings and NDT reports, and preparing technical reports.
- Professional engineering registration or relevant structural monitoring certifications are desirable.
Required skills
- Structural dynamics, modal analysis, vibration monitoring and fatigue assessment.
- Signal processing, statistical analysis, anomaly detection and condition monitoring.
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems, telemetry and remote monitoring technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and engineering software and data visualization tools.
What we offer
- A 100% remote working arrangement within the UAE employment context.
- Exposure to advanced sensor technologies, engineering analytics and predictive monitoring systems.
- Professional development in structural dynamics, infrastructure assessment and asset management.
