Senior System Engineer – Go & Rust (Cloud Infrastructure)

About the role

Acveti is seeking a Senior System Engineer with deep expertise in Go and Rust to design and build performance‑critical services for its Digital Cloud Infrastructure platform. You will work on low‑latency, service‑to‑service communication, automation, and Kubernetes‑based deployment orchestration across multiple initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement gRPC services and maintain backward‑compatible Protocol Buffer schemas.
• Develop high‑performance components in Go and Rust, including data pipelines, proxies, and long‑running agents.
• Automate infrastructure integrations for internal developer platform tooling.
• Support Kubernetes cluster management, GitOps synchronization, and Helm‑based deployment orchestration.
• Containerize applications and author deployment manifests and Helm charts.
• Profile, benchmark, and optimise services for latency, memory usage, and throughput.
• Implement concurrent systems using Go goroutines, channels, and context cancellation, and asynchronous Rust services with Tokio.
• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, backend, and DevOps teams and troubleshoot complex production issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of professional software or systems engineering experience.
• Strong production background with Go (Golang) and Rust, including ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, and error handling.
• Hands‑on experience with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and asynchronous programming (Tokio or similar).
• Deep understanding of performance at OS and network layers.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, multi‑project environments and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
