Senior Technical Account Manager – Telco Vertical

About the role

Join Amazon Web Services as a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) focused on the Telco vertical. You will act as the principal technical advisor for customers ranging from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises, helping them adopt and optimise AWS services.

Key responsibilities

• Advise customers on solution design, provide technical guidance and advocate for their needs.
• Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity.
• Develop trusted relationships with senior leadership, discuss incidents, trade‑offs and risk management.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services and Sales teams.
• Drive technical discussions, conduct workshops, brown‑bag sessions and deliver detailed service reviews.

Required profile

• Experience designing, implementing, operating or consulting on distributed applications.
• Strong technical engineering background with customer‑facing experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to present to both technical and executive audiences.
• Ability to travel 10% or more as needed.

• AWS services (EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, IoT, etc.).
• Cloud architecture and distributed systems design.
• Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
• IP networking, scripting/automation.
• Database architecture, security and operations management.
