Senior Technical Trainer - Machine Learning

About the role

A partner company is looking for a Senior Technical Trainer focused on Machine Learning, based in the United Arab Emirates. This is a remote freelance role where you design and deliver engaging technical courses for engineers, helping them move from core ML concepts to training and evaluating their own models through practical, lab-based learning. You work with curriculum specialists and production teams to build lessons, hands-on exercises and real-world demonstrations, focusing on scripts, video presentations and lab walkthroughs rather than production management. The initial paid course project lasts around three months and can be done alongside existing commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the curriculum team to define course structure, sections, lessons, practical labs and notebooks.
• Write detailed lab specifications for the lab development team and test the finished environments.
• Write short, story-driven video scripts of about six minutes each, explaining ML concepts clearly to engineers.
• Narrate lessons in English and record demonstrations and lab-solution walkthroughs.
• Build course material grounded in real experience of training, evaluating and deploying ML models.
• Refine content through structured reviews and editorial feedback.
• Work remotely with curriculum and production teams via weekly syncs and Slack, with time-zone overlap with Europe and Asia.

Required profile

• Demonstrated hands-on ML experience training, evaluating and shipping models with frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong technical communication and excellent written and spoken English, able to present on camera.
• Genuine passion for teaching and openness to feedback; comfort presenting technical material clearly.
• Active interest in ML developments and continuous learning.
• Preferred: experience publishing courses on Udemy, Pluralsight or Coursera or on YouTube, or writing a technical book or teaching at a university/bootcamp; knowledge of fine-tuning, MLOps or production deployment; cloud ML certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks).
