Senior Telecom Engineer

About the role

Sener is seeking a Senior Telecom Engineer with at least 15 years of engineering experience, primarily in Rail & Metro projects, to lead the design and delivery of railway telecommunications systems in Dubai, UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and technical delivery of railway telecom systems from concept through IFC stages.
• Develop and review designs, specifications, calculations, drawings, equipment schedules, system architectures and network diagrams.
• Design and coordinate Fibre Optic Backbone, Structured Cabling, IP/MPLS, Transmission Networks, CCTV, Public Address, Passenger Information, Access Control, Radio Communications, Telephony, Intercom and Master Clock systems.
• Coordinate telecom designs with Signalling, Train Control, Cybersecurity, SCADA, Power, MEP, Civil, Track and third‑party systems.
• Conduct multidisciplinary design reviews, workshops, constructability reviews and value engineering.
• Support installation, integration, testing and commissioning and resolve RFIs and design queries.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of engineering experience, majority on Rail & Metro projects.
• Extensive experience in railway telecommunications system design and delivery.
• Strong knowledge of railway telecom architectures, network integration and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Electronic, Electrical or Communication Engineering.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills; fluency in English.
