Senior UX Designer - Digital Banking

About the role

Brainlake Agency is looking for a Senior UX Designer to join a fast-paced, Agile delivery squad creating intuitive digital banking experiences across web and mobile. This is a hands-on, client-facing role combining strong UX expertise with a consultative approach: you will work directly with stakeholders to understand their goals, guide design decisions and balance user needs with business priorities and technical feasibility. The workplace is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and design workshops with client stakeholders, and advise clients on UX best practices and banking journeys
• Create user journeys, flowcharts, information architecture, wireframes and interactive Figma prototypes for web and mobile banking
• Use the client's design system, UI kits and baseline banking journeys, and prioritise reusable components and out-of-the-box capabilities
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects and Front-End Developers, and take part in backlog refinement, sprint planning and design reviews
• Prepare detailed design handoffs, support developers during implementation and conduct design QA
• Manage competing priorities and incorporate feedback while meeting delivery milestones

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior UX Designer delivering complex digital products, with a strong portfolio
• Experience in user journey mapping, information architecture, interaction design, wireframing and prototyping
• Experience leading discovery sessions, workshops and presentations to client stakeholders
• Ability to balance user needs, business goals and technical feasibility, ideally in financial services or FinTech, and ideally in a consultancy or client-facing delivery environment

Required skills

• Highly proficient in Figma, including variables, nested components, auto layout and interactive prototyping
• Experience working with and extending design systems
• Agile/Scrum delivery, Jira and Confluence
• Solid understanding of HTML/CSS, responsive breakpoints and component lifecycles
