Service Engineer – Elevators

About the role

The Service Engineer – Elevators will provide technical support, field service, maintenance, repairs and inspections for marine elevator systems in Fujairah, UAE. Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, the role involves both independent work and collaboration with the technical team and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical and periodic inspections of traction, hydraulic and rack‑and‑pinion elevators.
• Carry out planned, preventive and corrective maintenance, including major mechanical repairs and replacements.
• Troubleshoot complex elevator malfunctions and execute electrical and mechanical adjustments.
• Conduct site surveys, modernisation projects and retrofits.
• Maintain detailed service records, parts usage and customer interactions.
• Ensure safety compliance at all times and travel within the region and internationally as required.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in electrical, electronics or instrumentation engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the elevator industry, including new installations, repairs and service.
• Experience with multiple elevator brands (Hyundai, Kone, Ushio preferred).
• Strong knowledge of elevator codes, industry standards and marine health‑and‑safety rules.
• Excellent English communication skills and a second language.
• Valid UAE driving licence (LMV) and medical fitness for offshore work and heights.
