Settlement Services Specialist (Al Ain)

About the role

The Specialist, Settlement Services is responsible for daily monitoring and processing of settlement transactions across domestic, regional and international markets. The role covers equities, mutual funds, fixed income, ETFs, securities lending and borrowing, and short‑selling, ensuring the highest quality of client service delivery in line with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and process daily settlement transactions across multiple markets for a wide range of products, including equities, mutual funds, fixed income, ETFs, securities lending/borrowing and short‑selling.
• Validate client, market and sub‑custodian instructions, ensure correct matching and timely settlement, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
• Review and reconcile cash, FX and securities positions, oversee SWIFT message generation, and resolve mismatches with senior management.
• Participate in system upgrades, process enhancements and project initiatives to improve settlement efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SWIFT messaging for settlement instructions.
• Strong knowledge of cash and FX settlement processes.
• Experience in reconciliation and position management across multiple markets.
