Shift Manager – Power Generation & Water Production

About the role

The Shift Manager will oversee the safe and efficient operation of equipment used for power generation and water production at a modern CCGT and desalination facility in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures seamless hand‑over between shifts and contributes to production planning and budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Control and supervise all equipment related to power generation and water production during the assigned shift.
• Receive, document, and hand over critical operational information to the incoming reliever.
• Direct, supervise, and coordinate the activities of operation and maintenance personnel.
• Lead the morning Production Meeting and participate in daily work‑planning sessions.
• Assist in the preparation of the production budget and support site, regional, and corporate initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent higher education.
• Minimum ten years of operational experience in modern CCGT and desalination plants.
• Proven experience with DCS and PLC control systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for shift coordination.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent health‑and‑safety certification is an advantage.
