Site Engineer (MEP)

About the role

A capable Site Engineer (MEP) is sought to support the day-to-day execution of MEP works on project sites. The role suits a hands-on engineer who supervises installation activities, coordinates with other disciplines, monitors progress and ensures works are done safely, correctly and in line with approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily MEP installation works, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection, or discipline-specific activities.
• Coordinate manpower, foremen, technicians and subcontractors to meet planned daily and weekly targets.
• Ensure work follows approved shop drawings, method statements, material approvals and project specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural and other MEP disciplines to resolve site clashes and execution constraints.
• Monitor material availability, site progress, productivity and quality readiness for inspections.
• Support inspection requests, consultant comments, snag clearance, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Maintain daily reports, site records, manpower updates, work progress and technical coordination records.
• Ensure safe work practices and report unsafe conditions or execution risks immediately.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of MEP site engineering experience in contracting projects.
• Experience in high-rise, hospitality, residential, commercial or mixed-use building projects.
• Ability to coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors and internal project teams.
• Good reporting, communication, follow-up and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of approved drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection procedures and site coordination.
• Desired: UAE/GCC contracting experience, testing and commissioning support experience, exposure to document control platforms and project reporting systems.
