Site Nurse – Construction Project (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

Nova International General Contracting is seeking an experienced Site Nurse to provide on‑site medical care for a large, multi‑national workforce on a major construction project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves emergency response, occupational health support, and ensuring compliance with UAE health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first aid and primary healthcare to site personnel.
• Respond to workplace injuries, stabilize patients, and coordinate ambulance or hospital transfers.
• Maintain emergency medical equipment and first‑aid stations.
• Conduct health assessments, monitor chronic conditions, and keep medical records in line with UAE regulations.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi OSHAD/ADOSH standards and support health‑related incident investigations.
• Perform routine vital checks, health surveillance, and support vaccination and heat‑stress monitoring programs.
• Prepare monthly health reports for Project Management and HSE teams.
• Liaise with local hospitals and medical service providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Valid Nursing License (DOH – Department of Health Abu Dhabi preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory); ACLS certification (preferred).
• 8–10 years of nursing experience, with at least 3–5 years in construction, industrial, oil & gas, or remote site environments.
• Proven experience managing workplace injuries and emergency response.
• Strong communication skills in English; Hindi/Urdu/Arabic a plus.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Knowledge of OSHAD/ADOSH occupational health standards.
• Medical record management and documentation.
• Emergency medical care and equipment maintenance.
