Site Reliability Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Halian is seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and operating high‑availability systems that support digital banking, fintech and e‑commerce services. The role emphasizes AI‑driven automation, observability and reliability engineering in a regulated, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain large‑scale, high‑availability infrastructure using Terraform and IaC principles.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerised micro‑services workloads.
• Develop and operate monitoring, alerting and observability pipelines with Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana and the ELK stack.
• Integrate AI/ML‑based reliability solutions (AIOps, anomaly detection, predictive alerting).
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve high‑impact incidents and drive preventive improvements.
• Work with data‑intensive services such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Aurora and RDS.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in SRE or DevOps roles within banking, fintech, e‑commerce or similar data‑intensive domains.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for incident leadership and cross‑team collaboration.

• Messaging and data stores: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Aurora, RDS.
