Skilled Bits Welder – TIG/MIG & Fabrication

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Bits Welder to support bit manufacturing operations, performing TIG/MIG welding, hard facing, brazing, metal fabrication and grinding while adhering to NOV Quality and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform TIG/MIG welding, hard facing, brazing and other metal welding processes.
• Read and follow technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Assemble components according to engineering drawings and established procedures.
• Set up and adjust equipment to ensure proper alignment of parts and obtain approval from senior operator or supervisor.
• Lift, position and secure workpieces safely during welding operations.
• Use standard measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
• Carry out manual grinding, hot‑work activities and operator‑level machine maintenance.
• Comply with all NOV Quality, HSE and operational requirements, including support for shifts or weekend work when required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Technology, Metal Fabrication or Welding Processes or equivalent vocational training.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in production processes, light/heavy fabrication or welding.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and schematics.
• Good understanding of manufacturing shop practices and procedures.
• Effective communication in English and ability to work both independently and in a team.
