Skilled Gypsum Carpenter – Contract Position in UAE

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Gypsum Carpenter to join our construction team on a contract basis in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing gypsum board and false‑ceiling systems while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Install gypsum board, drywall partitions, and false‑ceiling systems according to project drawings.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut, and securely fix gypsum boards and related metal framing.
• Construct partitions, bulkheads, decorative features, and wall panels.
• Perform joint filling, taping, sanding, and surface preparation for a smooth finish.
• Repair or replace damaged gypsum components as needed.
• Coordinate with electricians, HVAC technicians, painters, and other trades to avoid conflicts.
• Use hand and power tools safely, maintain tools and work areas, and follow health‑safety procedures.
• Report material requirements and site issues to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Gypsum Carpenter or installer.
• Good knowledge of gypsum board, drywall, and false‑ceiling installation techniques.
• Ability to read construction drawings and take accurate measurements.
• Attention to detail and strong finishing skills.
• Physically fit, able to work at heights and handle manual tasks.
• Team player who can also work independently.
